Album Review

Justin Bieber is only a 17-year-old teenage boy, and everyone knows his name. The catchy beats and lyrics to his songs grasp people’s attention. In his second album My World 2.0 Justin displays heartbreak and struggles in relationships in numerous songs. The faithful fans of this teen-heartthrob love everything about him and his music, but some people don’t take him as seriously. Justin Bieber is probably the most famous name in Pop culture and My World 2.0 didn’t disappoint.
This album is beautifully written and expresses heartbreak in many different ways. The diversity of rhythm and pace, some songs are slow and sweet and others have a hip-hop edge. The song “Stuck in the Moment” tells the story of a young couple who can’t be together. Bieber shows this through allusions and powerful motifs. Another song called “That Should Be Me” shows the pain of a boy who had his heart broken recently and now sees his ex move on to someone else. Overall, My World 2.0 exemplifies struggle in young love through powerful and emotional songs.
